pre-production

At the same time, the project's logistics are sorted out, including budgeting, scouting and securing locations, and creating a detailed shooting schedule. This meticulous preparation ensures a clear and efficient path forward for both you and us, mitigating potential problems and ensuring that all creative and technical elements are in place before a single frame is ever filmed. You’ll know exactly what to expect and can head into the filming days with confidence and peace of mind.

production: let’s film!

The production phase is where all the meticulous planning from pre-production comes to life, focusing on capturing all the necessary visual and audio elements. This stage primarily comprises filming, which involves setting up cameras, lighting, and sound equipment on location or in a studio. Key elements include directing the talent and crew to execute the script and storyboard, recording audio (dialogue, sound effects, ambient noise), and capturing various types of footage, such as primary scenes, interviews, B-roll (supplementary footage), and establishing shots. It's a dynamic period where the creative vision is translated into raw material, ensuring every shot and sound bite is precisely captured for the post-production process that follows. We invite our clients to be present during this phase so that continuous collaboration can ensue, ensuring we execute on the vision established.

post-production

During the post-production phase, we bring all the raw footage together. This is when the magic really happens. Below are some of the steps taken during post-production…

ingestion + organization

Transferring all raw footage and audio files from the shoot to a computer and organizing them logically.

colour correction + grading

Adjusting the colours, brightness, and contrast of the footage to create a consistent and polished look.

editing

Assembling the best takes, trimming clips, and arranging them in a sequence to tell the story.

sound design + mixing

Enhancing audio with sound effects, music, and voiceovers, and mixing all audio tracks for optimal clarity and volume.

visual effects + graphics

Adding motion graphics, titles, lower thirds, or special visual effects (VFX).

final export + delivery

Rendering and exporting the finished video into the required file format and resolution for its intended platform.
